# service-busy

SynthEvents is **busy** generating other data sets.

- **Status:** `503 Service Unavailable`
- **Route:** `POST /api/v1/generate-events`
- **Description:** `service is busy: try again later`
- **Details:** Empty. The response has the header **`Retry-After`**, the number of seconds to wait.

## Why It Happens

SynthEvents generates one data set per processor core at a time, and every one of them is taken. A request that is answered from the cache does not need one, so this only happens for a data set that has to be generated.

## How to Fix It

Wait for as many seconds as `Retry-After` says, and send the same request again.
