# seed-malformed

The seed is **not in the expected form**.

- **Status:** `422 Unprocessable Entity`
- **Route:** `POST /api/v1/generate-events`
- **Description:** `seed is malformed: expected 1 to 64 of a-z, 0-9, and -`
- **Details:** **`value`**, the seed as the request gave it.

## Why It Happens

The seed has a character other than `a` to `z`, `0` to `9`, and `-`, such as an uppercase letter, a space, or an underscore, or it is empty, or longer than 64 characters. SynthEvents uses a seed exactly as given, so it does not turn `DDD` into `ddd` for you.

## How to Fix It

Use 1 to 64 characters of `a` to `z`, `0` to `9`, and `-`, such as `ddd-workshop-2026` instead of `DDD Workshop 2026`.
