# domain-missing

The request names **no domain**.

- **Status:** `400 Bad Request`
- **Route:** `POST /api/v1/generate-events`
- **Description:** `domain is missing: expected 'courses', 'library', or 'todo'`
- **Details:** Empty.

## Why It Happens

The body has no field `domain`, or its value is `null`.

## How to Fix It

Add the field `domain`, with one of the domains that the description lists. The list grows with the domains SynthEvents offers, and **[`read-domains`](/docs/synthevents/api#reading-domains)** lists them as well:
